Mini Critters Protest

 Join us in peaceful protest as we educate about where Mini Critters gets their puppies from.

We will be standing on the public sidewalk and please consider making and bringing a sign. 
 
Mini Critters has been in business for over 40 years. That means for more than 40 years countless dogs have been tortured for Mini Critters personal gain. 

Mini Critters has two locations:

Between these two locations, Mini Critters has worked with 13 different breeders across the Midwest.  There are at least 444 adult breeding dogs and 279 puppies. The puppies are shipped to their two locations to be sold for hundreds to thousands of dollars while the adult dogs are tortured and forced to breed over and over again until their bodies give out. 

The 13 breeders are: 
  •  AG Beukelman, J Michaels Kennels, Orange City, Iowa - Although Beukelman is a veterinarian himself, he is known as one of the worst puppy mills in the country, with a history of violations including: excessively rusted cages, wires broken and poking into kennels, build up of dirt/grime, excessively chewed bowls, dogs with untreated eye problems, and dead mice found floating in dogs’ drinking water. 
  • Bonnie Versteeg, Platte, South Dakota 
  • Dan Maassen and Sadie Maassen, Doon, Iowa - Cancelled USDA license and doesn’t hold a state license
  • Deb O’Neal, Country Kennels, Ord, Nebraska
  • Heath and Serenity Francke, Sand Creek Kennels and Sporting Dogs, Newport, Nebraska - This facility was named one of the worst puppy mills in the country in 2016 after receiving an official warning from the state of Nebraska due to animal care.
  • Helen and Scott Ketelsen, Hull, Iowa
  • Jason Englemen, Rock Rapids, Iowa - Unlicensed breeder
  • Jody and Tom Vande Weerd, Riverside Kennels, Rock Valley, Iowa
  • Linda Mulder and Marv Mulder, Limi Je M Kennel, Boyden, Iowa
  • Linda Schacht, Puppy Kisses Nursery, Doon, Iowa
  • Margaret Van Donkelaar, Maurice, Iowa - Unlicensed breeder
  • Mary Ruud, Colman, South Dakota - Not USDA licensed
  • Sara Hulshoff, Dogwood Kennels, Ireton, Iowa - Hulshoff also has 3 adult breeding cats and 9 kittens.
