We Support Saving More Dogs and Cats in Los Angeles

Despite previously meeting no-kill standards, the people and pets of Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS) need our help to make L.A. a no-kill city for dogs and cats.

Keep pets and people safe: Sign this petition to show your support for L.A. becoming a no-kill community in 2026.

Together, Angelenos can encourage the mayor and city council to start lifesaving programs for pets in shelters. Together, we can return L.A. to no-kill!

Why is this important?

We know L.A. can become a no-kill community because they've done it before. There are programs and policies that can be implemented to save animal lives and protect the people who care for them.

By implementing proven no-kill programming — increased foster placement and adoption outreach, for example — we can ensure that every healthy and treatable animal who can be saved is saved.
