Local Groups

Jamestown, ND Action Team

To end the killing of pets at City of Jamestown Animal Control, a collaborative approach among community members, elected officials, and the shelter is essential. This group serves as a hub for Jamestown residents to share resources & show support for a change that would result in better management of community cat populations and ultimately lead to more lives saved.

Amis De l'Abris Friends of Beaconsfield City Pound

Beaconsfield City Pound is really tiny. It has three storage cages used as dog kennels, and no services beyond dog (and occasionally cat) reunification. No spay neuter program, no microchip program, no pet pantry, etc. And no adoption or foster program. We, citizens of Beaconsfield Quebec, wish to transform the tiny pound at 303 A Beaconsfield Boulevard behind Herb Linder Annex into a fully functional Animal Services. This group serves as a hub for animal lovers of all types to share information and ask for help. We will work together to find solutions to keep pets out of shelters and in safe places. This group welcomes anyone who advocates for animals in our community.

Lady Dejavu Dog Rescue

My mission is to start a local Dog Rescue..and build a network of volunteers and foster families to bring in dogs from kill shelters in other areas and rehome them for reduced/ reasonable fees to people in our area..especially senior citizens whom are willing to adopt and able to feed and care for a dog but may not be able to afford the outlandish adoption fees at our local shelters. LA, California for example is a kill shelter adoption fees are approx. $50 versus $200-400 at our local no kill shelters. It could save lives and help lower income individuals as well. This group serves as a hub for animal lovers of all types to share information and ask for help. We will work together to find solutions to keep pets out of shelters and in safe places. This group welcomes anyone who advocates for animals in our community.
